They’re more common than we think.  Eating disorders are particularly interesting because they can be caused by a mental health disorder or a socially self-imposed condition.  Although not everyone has a clinically diagnosed eating disorder, many of us can relate to some of these symptoms to one degree or another.  Also, in order to help our friends and family, we should be informed of the signs and how to possibly help.
